5-axis CNC vertical gantry machining center featuring Kinema CNC and Mitsubishi drives and inverters. It is equipped with NC-controlled motorized clamps for automatic and simultaneous positioning, including the 'Cut and Separate' cycle (Mdt - CM) with an accuracy of a few hundredths of a millimeter. The machine also features Mam (automatic clamp movement during machining - Method of Automatic Movement) and Mab cycle (step-by-step machining and cutting - Magnetic Core Drilling Machines). Engineered for milling, drilling, tapping, and 5-face cutting of aluminum and PVC profiles, as well as steel processing, it guarantees high precision and operational flexibility. Ideal for applications in the curtain wall industry and industrial aluminum sectors.

Mecal high-automation cycles: MDT, MAM, MAB

The MDT cut and separate system, included as standard, allows for multiple profile cutting thanks to CNC motorized clamps and automatic positioning for versatile and modular processes. The MAM system, featuring automatic clamp movement during machining, is also included as standard. The MAB cycle, a step-by-step bar feed module, is available as an option.

The optional MAB cycle allows the machining center to operate as an automatic cutting line. The MAM system (automatic clamp movement during the cycle) enables the processing of highly complex parts for the Automotive and Industrial sectors.

Modular operations and multiple cuts from a full-length bar.

The MDT module cuts and separates from the full bar, enabling modular operations with CNC-motorized vices for extremely precise and efficient machining and handling of the cut workpiece.

5-axis CNC machining centre. High performance in terms of speed and flexibility, particularly suitable for processing large profiles, especially indicated for the curtain wall and industrial sectors. Safety is guaranteed by a laser scanner technology system. —– Pendulum machining and CadCam3D software; optional Cadlink software for importing and executing machining from STEP or IGES files originating from 3D design software. —– 12-position tool magazine with automatic tool changer plus a dedicated saw blade compartment housing a 450mm diameter blade. —– All CNC axes are absolute, including the clamps, and do not require homing upon machine restart. It features 8 standard motorized clamps which, in dynamic pendulum mode, position themselves independently and in masked time relative to the spindle’s machining processes in the opposite work field (pendulum cycle). Furthermore, as the clamps are true CNC axes, they allow for the machining and cutting cycle on a full-length bar (MDT cycle, cut and separate). —– The 5 axes allow the Hiteco electrospindle to rotate continuously +/- 321° on the C-axis and +/- 181° continuously on the A-axis, to perform machining on all faces of the profile. —– MAM cycle (automatic clamp movement during the cycle) as standard. Optional MAB cycle (bar feed module with step-by-step cycle). Linear and circular interpolation on three axes (XYZ).
