The cutting units tilt pneumatically to predefined angles (22.5° – 45° – 90°), ensuring flexibility and precision for complex cuts without the need for manual adjustments.

The soundproof cabin reduces noise and protects the operator, eliminating residual risks. A solution designed to improve ergonomics, safety, and cleanliness in the workspace. Optional polyurethane foam sound-absorbing lining is available for the cabin interior.

Advanced cutting list management with one-click DXF import, automatic corrections via the standard profile height gauge, and remote diagnostics. The intuitive 10” Touch Screen interface simplifies operations, boosting efficiency and productivity. It supports the import and execution of cutting lists from all industry-standard software.

The large and responsive industrial capacitive touch screen display can be separated from the CPU and is easily replaceable. Optional label printer, electronic caliper included as standard.

All cutting cycles included as standard

All cutting cycles are included as standard: double-blade, undersize, ultra-short (including 0 mm center distance at 90°/90°), and oversize. Step-by-step feeding is standard for all angles, including 45°/90° end pieces. Trim cutting is also included as standard.

Advantages

  • Pneumatic tilting of the cutting units to predefined angles (22.5° – 45° – 90°) and automatic positioning of the mobile unit allow for complex and repetitive cuts with zero effort. The electro-welded base offers maximum structural rigidity, reducing vibrations and ensuring consistent, high-quality cuts even during heavy-duty operations. The front-exit, rectilinear oleo-pneumatic blade feed, with adjustable speed and depth, ensures maximum precision tailored to specific cutting needs.

  • The Venturi mist lubrication system reduces friction and blade overheating, improving the cut finish, extending tool life, and lowering maintenance costs. Optional minimal pulse lubrication is also available.

  • The machine is pre-arranged for an extractor and motorized conveyor belt, ensuring optimal evacuation of chips and scrap. Automated cleaning for a more efficient working environment.

  • The advanced software, featuring a 10” Touch Screen HMI, allows you to import DXF files and populate the profile database with a single click. It also manages remote diagnostics via TeamViewer and a Mecal VPN router for direct intervention on PLCs and servo drives. This results in reduced downtime and superior operational efficiency. Furthermore, it is interfaced to execute cutting lists from all major industry software.

  • Access with multiple password levels. The operator has limited access restricted to production tasks, while the department manager has broader access privileges. The highest levels are reserved for Mecal technicians.

The SW 555 Argus is a double-head enclosed mitre saw with external pneumatic tilting of the heads, Ø 550 mm saw blades, a 5000mm useful cutting length, and a 10” Touch Screen HMI, for precise cuts, noise and chip reduction, advanced automation, and maximum production efficiency.
