4-axis machining center for processing Aluminum, Light Alloys, PVC, and Steel.
Four standard independent motorized clamps for proper workpiece clamping, with simultaneous automatic movement (MMI); fifth and sixth clamps are optional. The machine can be produced with telescopic clamps and either a standard or lowered beam for processing curved profiles.
Working beam rotation to all intermediate degrees – Double Length Cycle Management. The tilting beam can be positioned at any angle within the -125° to +125° range. The software manages the milling cycle with manual workpiece repositioning against stop 2, for lengths exceeding 8,000 mm.
With dedicated accessories, it is possible to perform machining operations on multiple faces of the profile and end-milling with a disc cutter on both ends. Optional features include a tool presetter, workpiece length reader, multidirectional infrared touch probe, barcode reader, and interface with external software.
10-station tool magazine located at the center of the bed to reduce tool change times. Optionally, two supplementary magazines can be added at both ends of the bed, increasing tool capacity to 16 stations. These aggregate magazines are the ideal solution for housing angular heads and tools with extension tubes, as well as standard tools.
The standard electrospindle is a 6 kW, 18,000 rpm ISO 30; optional 8.5 kW, 24,000 rpm HSK F63, with or without encoder.
The two profile stops are standard and allow for the loading of either two profiles of complementary lengths or a single profile that takes up the entire working area.
Maximum productivity. Independent motorized clamps for ultra-fast clamp setup. Rapid movements with speeds up to 80 m/min make the machining center exceptionally productive.
Maximum safety. Safety is guaranteed by the upward-sliding door and unbreakable shield.
3-axis interpolation. Drilling, tapping, end-milling, and milling operations can be performed with linear and circular interpolation.
Optimized scrap evacuation. Provision for chip and scrap collection bins, with the option to install a motorized conveyor belt for waste evacuation.
Tool lubrication and cooling. Tool cooling is managed by a minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) unit. An optional tool cooling system for dry machining is also available.
Self-lubricating linear guides. All slideways and ball screws are lubricated via an automatic centralized system. The CNC axes slide on precision guides and are driven by digital motors, ensuring stability and machining accuracy.
Usual Mecal Product Robustness – Technology and Innovation. Top-of-the-line technological partners and suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components. All of this, combined with the high technological level and innovation of the automation within the Mecal plant, guarantees the quality and innovation of the final product.
User-friendly software. The easy and intuitive CadCam3D software allows for rapid programming and execution. The optional Cadlink program allows for the importation of STEP and IGES files from 3D design software, enabling rapid workpiece production.
Smart Factory. Interfacing with MES in various standards, including OPC UA for Industry 4.0. Optional hardware for dynamic energy monitoring for Industry 5.0 transition. Remote diagnostics of components via optional Mecal VPN router for Industrial IoT.
Mitsubishi fiber optic fieldbus. Digital technology and data transmission via fiber optics guarantee high performance with reduced interference and maximum reliability.
4-axis CNC machining center designed for processing aluminum, light alloy, PVC, and steel profiles, equipped with appropriate safety protections. The 4th axis consists of a motorized beam with a rotation capacity from –125° to +125° on the horizontal axis, including all intermediate angles. The machine can therefore perform machining operations on the top and side faces of the profile at any inclination within this range. It features MMI independent motorized clamps that automatically reach their final position simultaneously. It is equipped with a 10-station tool magazine with automatic tool change, located at the center of the bed, plus two optional additional magazines for a total of 16 tools, capable of housing angular units for head and tail machining or Y-axis cutting, and a disc cutter for end-milling operations. It also features a function that facilitates workpiece loading/unloading. With the optional pads for the moving parts of the clamps, a clamping capacity of 300mm is achieved.
