DPM Clamps, clamp positioning device

The DPM system ensures automatic positioning of the clamps, one after another, improving the efficiency of work cycles and increasing productivity.

Double loading and working area.

The possibility of creating two separate working areas allows for simultaneous or diversified operations, optimizing space usage and increasing productivity: this is the pendulum mode. Alternatively, the overall machine length can be used to process particularly long profiles.

The main axes slide on high-precision linear guides and are driven by brushless servomotors, ensuring accurate and stable movements. The clamping units provide secure and precise workpiece fixing. Features an ISO30 6kW electrospindle or an optional HSK-F63 8.5kW version, available with or without encoder.

The easy and intuitive CadCam3D software allows for rapid programming and execution. The optional Cadlink program enables the import of STEP and IGES files from 3D design software, ensuring fast workpiece execution.

Advantages

  • Operational flexibility. The 4 CNC-controlled axes allow for a wide range of complex machining operations. The A-axis enables spindle positioning at any angle within ±91°, offering greater adaptability to various production processes.

  • Clamping safety and quality. The workpiece clamping units slide on precision guides, ensuring secure fastening and improving machining quality.

  • Energy efficiency and maintenance reduction. The automatic lubrication of guides and ball screws, combined with tool cooling via a minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) unit, optimizes consumption and reduces maintenance costs.

  • Workspace optimization. The division of the working area into two independent zones allows for the simultaneous loading and execution of multiple workpieces in pendulum mode, increasing production efficiency. The full machine length can be utilized to process particularly long profiles.

  • MES interfacing with various standards, including OPC UA for Industry 4.0. Optional hardware for dynamic energy monitoring for Industry 5.0 transition. Remote component diagnostics via Mecal VPN router for Industrial IoT.

4-axis CNC machining centre dedicated to processing aluminium, light alloys, and steel profiles. It allows for the execution of up to 4 workpieces in pendulum mode across two distinct working areas. It features 8 standard clamps, automatically positioned in sequence by the DPM device attached to the head, ensuring automatic machine setup. The electrospindle rotates +/- 91° on the A-axis for inclined machining. It is equipped with an 8-position tool magazine located directly on the X-axis carriage. It is particularly valued for the clamp structure which significantly facilitates profile loading, as the operator can ‘step into the clamps’ during the loading and unloading phase.
