Stabia Alluminio accelerates industrialisation and looks to the future with Mecal Machinery

Certain entrepreneurial stories highlight significant transformations, fueled by a strong vision and the collaboration of the right partners. This is the case of Stabia Alluminio, a company founded in 1980 as a small workshop making window frames, which has grown into a well-established business specialising in aluminium and wood-aluminium window frames. Based in Salerno, it now employs over 25 people across its offices and workshop.

Amid ongoing growth, the need to better organise processes and boost efficiency prompted Stabia to invest in advanced technologies, turning to Mecal Machinery to acquire two key assets: a state-of-the-art cutting machine and the Gianos machining center, one of the most advanced solutions for aluminium profile machining.

Thanks to the intuitive interface, connection to external CAD software and integrated barcode support, operators can now quickly set up each phase, with automatic part recognition and preconfiguration of machining operations. The result? Fewer errors, greater speed and complete process traceability.

The Gianos center, with its independent moving beams, 11 tool positions and extreme programming versatility, has integrated perfectly into the production line.

The Mecal cutting machine, featuring a touchscreen computer, oil-pneumatic blade feed, and capabilities for cut optimisation and order management, has greatly enhanced the cutting process, minimising both time and material waste.

Human relations and service are also fundamental: “Remote assistance is timely, fast and competent. Even in the event of faults, such as those caused by a local power outage, we received prompt support and were able to resolve the problem effortlessly. The Mecal team is responsive, knowledgeable and precise.”
